West Indies
West Indies have finished off their tour of Bangladesh with an emphatic 3-0 series victory at Dhaka in T20 Internationals (T20Is).
Romario Shepherd shone with his bowling, taking three wickets including an impressive hat-trick courtesy of Roston Chase and Ackeem Auguste who both made half centuries.
Bangladesh captain Litton Das praised Tanzid Hasan for his batting, attributing their loss to factors beyond their control – such as dew during their bowling innings and dropped catches – which were out of their hands. Das stated that they will take lessons learned from this match and strive to improve upon future encounters.
West Indies eventually won by five wickets with Rovman Powell hitting an aggressive short delivery from Taskin Ahmed around off.
Powell got into it early and sent it past long on for a single; West Indies won their inaugural T20I series without further incident, playing quality cricket all series long en route. They will hope to build on this success when facing Ireland next.
Bangladesh
Bangladesh National Cricket Team, based out of Dhaka, is Bangladesh’s men’s national cricket team and full member of International Cricket Council with Test and One Day International status governed by Bangladesh Cricket Board; their nickname is The Tigers.
South Africa visited Bangladesh for two T20Is and three ODIs during July 2015, winning both series 2-1 each time while also whitewashing their opponent 3-0 – this marked Bangladesh’s first whitewashed ODI series since 2009.
Bangladesh hosted Sri Lanka for two ODIs and three Test matches at home, winning both by comfortable margins 3-0 in each ODI while drawing the Test series 1-1.
Their batsmen excelled, with Mahmudullah, Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto all scoring centuries during this series.
Bangladesh was able to reach the finals of the 2019 ICC Champions Trophy competition in England after defeating Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in group stages, but were ultimately unsuccessful against Sri Lanka in winning it all.
Bangladesh impressed many fans despite its loss, with impressive batting and bowling performances from players like Ackeem Auguste (who had some stunning shots) and Romario Shepherd, a steadier but improved performer, being key contributors.
Furthermore, Devendra Bishoo and Ravi Rampaul improved bowling considerably and will make for a dangerous team to come up against in future Test cricket matches – giving their opponents no easy rides!
ODIs
One Day International (ODI) cricket is a form of limited-overs game featuring two international teams with international status. This format is considered the pinnacle of limited-overs matches, and features in every World Cup that occurs every four years.
All ODI matches follow standard one-day cricket rules with maximum fifty overs allowed per innings; during powerplay period (10 overs per innings), only attacking fields are permitted – two fielders from either team may field outside 30 yard circle on attack only (unless bowler uses offensive fielder counterattack).
Finally, during third powerplay all three types of fielding methods may be employed simultaneously by both sides before final powerplay allows all three field types to be employed fully!
