TN’s top-order batsmen scored half-centuries while Sunny Sandhu bowled superbly to guide the home team to victory. UP’s batsmen struggled to cope with the pressure and were reduced to 115 for seven in the 27th over.
The Tamil Nadu Cricket Team Vs Uttar Pradesh Cricket Team Match Scorecard highlights a significant moment in Tamil Nadu cricket, as this was reportedly the first time a non-Brahmin cricketer was selected to represent the state.
The selection sparked discussion about representation among communities, including Nadars, Vanniyars, and Thevars, who were stated to make up 97% of the state’s population.

Tamil Nadu vs Uttar Pradesh
UP’s Mohammad Saif has been one of the surprise packages in this Ranji Trophy season. He starred in UP’s thrilling first-innings fightback against Jharkhand and has now helped the side to the top of Group A, three points clear of second-placed Andhra and TN.
The left-hander has struck a brilliant unbeaten 165 in this game, his third hundred of the campaign, to help his side post a huge total of 325. It’s a superb performance that has put him within touching distance of his sixth Ranji ton.
However, he isn’t the only UP batsman in form. Mohammad Hafeez has also contributed with the ball as he claimed two wickets for just 37 runs. And with the likes of Prakash Choudhary and Bhargav Merai contributing in a big way, Uttar Pradesh have an excellent chance of winning this game.
Indrajith, meanwhile, was back in action after a break and he soon stitched a fine stand with Andre Siddarth to take Tamil Nadu to 148 for 4 at tea. The pair have added 77 runs in just 104 balls so far and Indrajith will be hoping to complete his own century before he heads off for the day.
It will be interesting to see how TN deal with the threat of follow-on in the Tamil Nadu Cricket Team Vs Uttar Pradesh Cricket Team Match Scorecard. It’s a huge ask and would require a lot of discipline with the bat, but if they can get close, it could be a great game to watch.
