Bangladesh will visit Pakistan for a five-match T20I series this May, beginning with two matches at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium, last used as an international cricket ground back in April 2008. Following that, teams will move onto Lahore Gaddafi Stadium where three more matches will take place between 30 May, 1 June and 3 June.
Initial plans called for three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals; however, with 2026’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup fast approaching, both Bangladesh and Pakistan cricket boards mutually agreed that two extra Twenty20Is would serve as better preparation.
Sources have informed Cricket South Asia (CCA) of plans for the restructured series to begin on May 25, with its inaugural match taking place at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad – marking an return of international cricket after 17 years away from Faisalabad and Iqbal Stadium’s rich history, having hosted 24 Tests and 16 ODIs from 1978 until 2008.

Pakistan will host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series beginning August 21 at the National Stadium in Rawalpindi. BCB are working towards securing all necessary permits and hopes to have everything set in time for series commencement.
Pakistan vs Bangladesh ODI Series Schedule
As part of its Future Tour Program (FTP), Bangladesh was originally scheduled to play three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals against Pakistan as part of their Future Tour Program (FTP). But due to their teams’ preparations for both T20-format Asia Cup 2025 and World Cup 2026 tournaments, their cricket board decided instead to switch it for five-match T20I series instead of an ODI series.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh: Rain has again proved too much for both teams as their match between Pakistan and Bangladesh has been abandoned due to poor weather. Scheduled to start at 8:00 pm local time, officials soon called it off due to worsening conditions soon after start time and called off soon afterwards – becoming just the third game at this year’s Champions Trophy that has had to be abandoned due to adverse conditions.
