Batting

Ricky Bhui and Sanju Samson look in excellent form, hitting boundaries frequently to stay ahead of any possible turns in the wicket. Both batsmen are looking forward to going for quick runs before it becomes more challenging.

India A’s batsmen lose one key batsman when Yash Dubey edges Kamboj’s ball to short leg for an early wicket and India A lose a batsman of their set batsmen.

Bumrah returns to attack, allowing more swing in his ball than is typical. Latham gets some edges but is unable to capitalize. Young fails his reverse sweep attempt and ends up hitting deep backward point instead.

Musheer Khan pulls off an excellent catch. After the ball hits Yash Dube’s pads, Musheer dives spectacularly to take an amazing catch that saves New Zealand from further defeat and they now trail by only 23 runs!

Another maiden for Bumrah. Latham and Young continue not gaining enough access to the ball.

Out! A major blow for the hosts. Mukesh Kumar makes an error-ridden shot that gets caught by Sai Sudharsan at slip. Attempting a cut off the back foot, Mukesh is instead overcome by spinner Sai Sudharsan and out.

Rishabh Pant is in fine form and moves into the 40s with some fours to bring up his first 50. He looks poised for an outstanding score.

Yash Dayal is also playing well; he’s trying to use a pull shot against spinners and has managed to hit two fours already. He looks to build partnerships with Samson who has already scored sixes; together they could build huge partnerships that propel India A to victory; however, as the pitch turns more slowly than anticipated and batsmen must be cautious as mistakes cannot be afforded in these final few overs.

Bowling

India B bowlers’ superb efforts enabled them to seize control of the Duleep Trophy match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and hold onto an advantage of 240 runs heading into the final day of play.

Riyan Parag is back in the middle and looking good for another cover shot. Unfortunately, his delivery slips under his hands but can’t hold down its trajectory; unfortunately for Parag, neither the batsmen nor himself appear intent on going for big hits and prefer defending instead.

Khaleel Ahmed has taken to using a young bowler, and they’re not giving him much room to settle into their new bowling role. A sharp delivery has sent India C backwards with just three wickets after one over.

Shams Mulani ran out Yash Dubey for a run-out, effectively ending his brilliant innings – unbeaten on 157 off 286 balls – but with an eye for runouts.

Musheer strikes again! Washington tosses up his delivery and Kuldeep drives it hard – however, Musheer makes an outstanding catch over the stumps to secure another wicket for Pakistan!

Pant is back on strike and attempts a lofted drive over long on, only for his shot to hit straight and be caught at short leg. Pant has every opportunity of hitting another six, yet can’t quite manage it and falls for 37 off 49 balls.

Jadeja is dominating in his innings. He plays an ambitious shot to extra cover that almost hits it to the rope but takes an unfortunate hit off keeper’s bat instead.

Pant is playing confidently and happy to give Jadeja the strike. After playing an impressive swipe that nearly saw him tumble backwards as he attempted a reverse ramp, Pant improved with his next scoring shot, smashing Boland’s opening delivery over cow corner for six! Fearless Pant has finally emerged as one of our beloved cricketing icons; an absolute pleasure to watch over time. He will surely become an international star.

Fielding

India B cricket team boasts an incredibly talented collection of players. Some are veterans while others are up-and-comers in their field, making this team one fans love so much as they always give a good fight against other sides they compete against.

Fielding is one of the key aspects of a game and one that can make or break its outcome for either side playing it. That was certainly evident during this match between India B and Sri Lanka C, in which Indian B’s fielders did an outstanding job and are currently leading by an overwhelming margin.

Anshul Kamboj hit sixes on his way to scoring 100 before Rahul Chahar dismissed him for just 34 runs. This came despite an excellent knock by Anshul who hit eight fours and one six.

At 349 runs for India B, their partnership has taken them past this total with ease. Only a major effort by their batsmen will take India B closer to going past this total.

Khaleel strikes again as he traps Ricky Bhui in front and reviews. However, the onfield umpire remains confident with their decision and Bhui walks back.

Meanwhile, Manav Suthar is close to reaching the half century mark, and batting well alongside Avesh on the other end. They have formed an excellent partnership as they look to establish an early lead for their team.

After their victory against India A in Duleep Trophy 2024, India B have been announced by the BCCI with their squad remaining unchanged under Ruturaj Gaikwad’s guidance. He was pleased with their performance and thus decided not to change anything about their lineup in Duleep Trophy 2024’s inaugural match. To strengthen India C’s team against an equally undefeated India A side. Rinku Singh, Axar Patel Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel have also joined them with hopes that both teams put on impressive shows against each side – while hoping they make good against another team: India C has strengthened by adding Rinku Singh Axar Patel Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel to give their debuts against them both teams so far in Duleep Trophy 2024 competition so far!

Scorecard

India’s young batsmen are using this year’s Duleep Trophy as an audition for Test cricket that starts within five-six months – for some it may even be an audition to make the national squad! Thus it is imperative they perform well here and don’t become overwhelmed by such a prestigious platform.

Ricky Bhui and Devdutt Padikkal helped India A stay competitive early today by adding 33 runs before lunch break. Bhui has shown great against spinners, earning himself an early reward from Mukesh Kumar with a four off his very first over after lunch.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has steadily built on his start to reach fifty, finding the boundary with ease despite having had to retire injured the previous day’s game. India A will certainly welcome his run after having been forced to play without him the day prior.

Gaikwad finally achieved his half-century on the final ball of the morning session after Harshit Rana inflicted an edge which went to slips, and completed an outstanding innings, adding 89 off 187 balls!

After a short rain delay, Khaleel Ahmed returned to bowl. A short delivery from him hit Aaqib Khan who has scored 19 in 14 balls; unfortunately he could only review this decision but had to walk back for just eight overs.

Mukesh Kumar then takes another wicket with his first delivery of the afternoon, dismissing Vyshak Prasanna attempting a six but failing. India A now trail by 448 runs.

India A openers Mayank Agarwal and Jagadeesan continue to play sensibly without taking unnecessary risks, with Agarwal just four short of reaching 50 off 38 balls, and Jagadeesan on 29 runs in just 35 balls.
