Hardik Pandya took an exceptional catch at long-off to catch Virat Kohli and send him back, making history by becoming the first bowler in IPL history to achieve five wickets in an IPL final match-winning performance for himself.

Chahal played for eight seasons with MI and will still be considered a teammate by them today.

Ahmedabad’s pitch should provide excellent batting conditions. In their recent match against MI at this ground, PBKS recorded an outstanding 243/5 performance to set an example and chase down an ambitious target of 206 in an outstanding display of batsmanship.

Both PBKS and RCB have experienced intense matches this season. Both teams have met twice out of three meetings with RCB taking both wins. A victory by either side would give them an unassailable lead at the top of their respective league tables.

Following their loss against RR in their last game, it will be interesting to see whether PBKS employ the same team or make any necessary changes following Harpreet Brar’s outstanding performance against them in that defeat. Should changes be necessary, Harpreet could possibly return as Harpreet Brar did make an impressive contribution during that loss and could come off the bench again here as she did against them.

Yuzvendra Chahal may return from being rested for the previous match and could play an instrumental role for PBKS in this clash, having made crucial match-winning contributions against two former sides, especially RCB (where he lost both finals).
