RCB vs MI

After an inauspicious start, Royal Challengers Bangalore finally appeared capable of competing at Wankhede. But they would need both hard work and some luck on their side to succeed.

RCB batsmen have not produced much in the middle overs, causing all kinds of trouble for themselves. Suryakumar Yadav mistimes an ambitious shot that sails straight up in the air; Jitesh Sharma leaps for it but is denied by umpire as not out.

Josh Hazlewood squanders an opportunity for RCB by bowling an innocuous over without yielding any runs, which could prove pivotal in this match! Krunal Pandya comes on as Krunal Pandya for one last over and tension is building! This contest promises to be unforgettable!

IPL 2021

On April 9th, the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League kicks off, pitting reigning champions Mumbai Indians against season one winners Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The Indian Premier League is the world’s premier T20 tournament and has attracted some of the world’s premier cricketers to India for competition. Attracted by lucrative purses and the opportunity to test themselves against some of the greatest talent, many have found it impossible to resist participating.

In 2021, the IPL expanded with two more teams — Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants — bringing its total count up to 10. The top four teams from each group advance to the playoff stage where they participate in Qualifier 1 matches; those that win advance directly into the final while any remaining two face off against one another in an Eliminator round.

IPL 2022

With two new teams – Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans – joining IPL 2022, and several squad changes following its mega auction, IPL 2022 promises both familiarity and newness in equal measures. Moeen Ali and Jos Buttler’s return from Rajasthan makes their presence felt, creating yet another formidable threat within its ranks.

Glenn Maxwell and Josh Hazlewood could miss the first three matches due to family commitments; Jasprit Bumrah will face off against Virat Kohli as one of RCB’s key rivals.

MI’s Wankhede Stadium will play host to most of their 55 matches this season, while four matches will take place at DY Patil Sports Academy and Brabourne Stadium outside Mumbai. Here is their complete schedule for league phase matches:

IPL 2025

The 2025 Indian Premier League season kicked off on March 22. Boasting 74 matches including four playoff matches, it promises to be an action-packed race to claim one of four orange or purple caps at stake.

RCB and MI have not won an IPL title in five seasons; while SRH, DC, KKR and RR have each won three. The top four teams will enter playoffs, starting with Qualifier 1 on May 29, Eliminator on June 3 and the Final on June 3.

RCB have appointed Shreyas Iyer as their new captain, while Mahela Jayawardene returns to MI after leading them from 2017-2022 – during which time they won three IPL titles. Rahul Dravid will lead Royal Challengers while Shubman Gill will captain Gujarat Titans.

IPL 2026

IPL teams are taking advantage of the trade window to hone their squads ahead of the 2026 mini-auction. The system enables franchises to trade players without incurring auction purse penalties; player consent is considered, but ultimately franchise decisions are finalized. Financially strong franchises can use this system to leverage resources in order to secure star talent before auction day arrives.

Hazlewood had an outstanding second over, bowling one wicket and six in succession to remove Santner and Chahar from their respective innings. Harmanpreet then missed a cut that denied her another fifty, which Tim David caught at long-on. With MI needing 19 off three balls to secure victory for RCB, Krunal Pandya was trusted with bowling the final over. In that over, Krunal Pandya managed to take two wickets while also recording one six!

This timeframe should ensure minimal overlap with other international cricket events; furthermore, England’s centrally contracted players will all be fully available throughout the entirety of their contract, along with those from South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

The Indian Premier League boasts an unprecedented media rights deal worth an estimated $6.2 billion – higher than any other professional sports league worldwide.

Dhumal noted that an expanded IPL remains possible; its implementation will depend on when media rights cycles occur in future years.

The BCCI is also exploring whether or not to add new franchises to the IPL, although no plans have been set forth at this time. Dhumal believes 10 teams is sufficient for now and wants to keep it that way.

IPL is one of the world’s most acclaimed and profitable cricket leagues, boasting a net worth exceeding $10 billion. Media rights for IPL events have been sold to global broadcasters while sponsorship agreements worth millions of dollars have also been signed.
