Chamari Athapaththu, Hasini Perera and Vishni Gunaratne’s bowling performance was admirable, yet disappointing overall for Sri Lanka who failed to create any pressure on Indian batters despite Inoka Ranaweera taking two wickets that put Sri Lanka back on course.

India have selected many members from their World Cup-winning squad led by Harmanpreet Kaur for this five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, such as Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sneh Rana and Shafali Verma to feature.

India once more defeated Sri Lanka easily by seven wickets after restricting them to just 113 runs in the second match, thanks to an excellent showing from their batswomen – Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues were particularly noteworthy contributors, while Harmanpreet Kaur and Pooja Vastrakar combined for an outstanding third wicket partnership of 91 runs that helped India easily reach their target. Sri Lanka captain Rashmi Silva scored 50 runs during this contest while three Indian spinners took three wickets each to close out this series victory for India.

India’s bowlers were outstanding as they claimed eight wickets to put Sri Lanka into an early hole before seeing them recover to win by an emphatic margin. India will certainly be satisfied with their performance regardless of losing, even though Sri Lanka have made up ground through lower order efforts and managed to pull through.
Australia have a good chance of reaching the quarter-finals in India, though it will be challenging. Due to rain, Australia were limited to 27 overs per side during their match.
Opening pair Alex Blackwell and Alyssa Healy shared an unbroken partnership of 92 runs in their innings; with Healy becoming only the second Australian after Meg Lanning to pass this landmark mark in the India Women’s National Cricket Team Vs Sri Lanka Women Match Scorecard context of competitive women’s international cricket.
