Ameer Abdullah
Ameer Abdullah made three tackles and one pass deflection during Indianapolis Colts’ 31-25 overtime win against Atlanta Falcons last Sunday during Week 10 of 2025 international series Berlin. Additionally, Abdullah helped force turnovers on four out of seven red zone possessions from Atlanta Falcons, tied for second most by any team in this game.
This victory advanced the Colts to 8-3 and marked their eighth road win against Atlanta since 2000. Colts running back Jonathan Taylor had an outstanding game, rushing 244 yards for 244 total yards including an 83-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and scoring the game-winning touchdown during overtime.
The Falcons defense had a franchise-record seven sacks against the Indianapolis Colts during Sunday’s loss, all recorded by different players. It marked only their second game with six or more different defenders recording sacks since Week 15 against Arizona Cardinals last season when six different players recorded one each time – as in Week 2 against Pittsburgh Steelers when six different defenders recorded at least one.
Ashton Dulin
Ashton Dulin made headlines last weekend for returning a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown, only for it to be nullified due to a holding penalty. Dulin has been impressive so far during 2021 season’s first two weeks – it could become key component in Indianapolis Colts offense!
Andrew Luck leads the Colts offense, connecting often with Dulin. These two have formed an immediate rapport; Dulin was named top receiver on the team in 2021 with 17 receptions totalling 183 yards and four touchdowns caught by this rookie receiver.
Dulin has also been an instrumental member of the running game. He rushed for 204 yards and one touchdown during 2016, showing great skill both short-yardage situations and in red zone scenarios. Additionally, Dulin was an impressive kickoff returner, tallying 516 yards on eight returns!
On Sunday during their loss to the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons defense recorded seven sacks – its highest total since Week 15 against Arizona Cardinals last season! Additionally, three turnovers were forced by this unit, including an interception by safety Jessie Bates III.
The Falcons have struggled to convert third-down plays recently, failing to convert any of their four attempts against the Saints. This has contributed to their recent losing streak; further compounded by an inability to score touchdowns within their red zone drives; during this streak of seven red-zone drives only three have resulted in touchdowns; they have also lost two fourth-quarter leads during that timeframe.
Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker has quickly established himself as one of the nation’s premier linebackers, winning Georgia’s 2024 Butkus Award and being recognized with it. A hybrid star at his position, Walker excels both inside and outside linebacker duties. He is known for making timely tackles, often disrupting quarterbacks with speed as he speeds into their backfield to disrupt them with ease. Furthermore, Walker boasts an outstanding pass rush capability while excelling on special teams.
After an inauspicious start to their season, the Falcons have found success through two tight victories against Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints. Now tied for first in NFC South standings, Atlanta could make significant headway with a victory against Indianapolis Colts this Sunday.
This season, the Falcons have had difficulty covering third downs successfully, allowing opponents to convert eight of nine attempts against them in recent games. If they want any chance at making it into the playoffs, this needs to change immediately.
Falcons must improve their red-zone defense, which has allowed seven touchdowns over nine games. Furthermore, pressure should be applied directly on quarterback Matt Ryan.
Atlanta was held without recording a single sack against Indianapolis despite Michael Penix Jr. playing a substantial portion of overtime. Atlanta has only had two other games in which their defense did not record at least one sack: Week 1 against Buccaneers and Week 5 versus Washington Commanders.
Michael Badgley
Michael Badgley has become the Colts’ primary kicker since being signed as insurance for Rodrigo Blankenship back in October, making 18 out of 21 field goal attempts this season.
Badgley kicked a 43-yard field goal during the third quarter, his longest of the game. Additionally, he scored another 41-yarder earlier in the second quarter – becoming the first NFL player ever to hit three field goals of 40 yards or greater within one game.
As part of their loss against the Indianapolis Colts, the Falcons managed only eight out of 40 third-down plays that they attempted were converted – the lowest conversion percentage recorded by any team this season.
Tyler Allgeier scored two 1-yard rushing touchdowns for Atlanta during their loss against Indianapolis. Allgeier has six rushing touchdowns this year – tied for fourth among Falcons running backs along with Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman.
Atlanta recorded seven sacks, their most ever in one game this season. Safety Jessie Bates III picked off Colts quarterback Daniel Jones to increase his career total of 26 interceptions; that mark also represents their single-game highest interceptions total this year!
Additionally, 15 offensive plays of 10 yards or more occurred throughout this contest, tied with their record set during Week 1. It also tied their record from Week 1.
