Axar Patel (c), KL Rahul (wk), Jake Fraser-McGurk

Jake Fraser-McGurk made an amazing catch at the boundary line to stop Aniket Verma from his blistering knock of 74 runs in 41 balls at ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam during SRH’s 16th over innings.

However, Delhi Capitals skipper skipper Ashok Dinda didn’t drop Fraser-McGurk and is likely to retain his spot in the batting order. The Australian opener could partner either KL Rahul or Karun Nair as an opening pair.

DC may opt for Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera who has been impressive this season and could pose a threat to Lucknow Super Giants’ batting unit. He can replace Kagiso Rabada who will miss this match, or they could switch out Maheesh Theekshana for Wanindu Hasaranga or Kwena Maphaka altogether.

Karun Nair

Karun Nair became an internationally acclaimed cricketer after being an integral component of Karnataka’s Ranji Trophy dynasty from 2013-2016.

A skilled batsman who could also spin well, Karun made an impression with his temperament and technique against slower bowlers.

He also boasts the unique advantage of being an off-break bowler, giving him an additional edge during games. One of only two Indian batters to score three centuries in Test cricket.

Sanaya Tankariwala of media professional fame earned fame during IPL 2025 due to her inspiring interfaith love story that combined traditional Hindu values and Parsi culture.

They share one daughter together – Kayaan. Based out of Mumbai India, their marriage serves as an emblematic sign of love and commitment between them both.

Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis is an accomplished South African cricket captain known for his leadership, technical skill and tenacity under pressure.

Currently he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in India’s Indian Premier League; born and educated at Afrikaanse Hoer Seunskool which has produced many top South African cricket players over time.

He earned wide praise in 2012 Adelaide Test match after scoring a match-saving century, showing remarkable courage under pressure. Additionally, he captained South African team across all formats and led them to series victories against top cricket teams.

He is an active family man who frequently posts images of his wife on social media. Additionally, he’s actively involved in advocating exercise and mental health awareness campaigns and has gained international acclaim through his charity work and commitment to making an impactful difference in people’s lives.

Donovan Ferreira

Ferreira has quickly established himself in the SA20 league with his aggressive batting and boundary hitting abilities, making him a valuable asset to both cricket fans and fantasy teams alike.

His high boundary percentage suggests he’s not afraid to take risks in order to score runs; especially against pace bowling where his fast scoring rate allows for him to build an average.

Unfortunately his average against spin bowling suggests otherwise; his relatively low average against this type suggests further work needs to be done on rotating the strike to build innings more effectively; nonetheless he will provide much-needed balance when joining Delhi Capitals during 2025 TATA IPL auction for INR 75 Lakh.

His track record against LSG is impressive, having scored 210 runs over his last three head-to-heads against them.

Abhishek Porel

After excelling as Rishabh Pant’s replacement during IPL 2023, Porel will look to cement his place in Delhi’s squad. He has scored 360 runs at an astounding strike rate of more than 150 with six scores exceeding 25 runs in 18 games played so far.

Porel has recently struggled, failing to score more than 18 runs in any of his last four innings. DC retained him along with KL Rahul, Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs ahead of an auction, with mentor Kevin Pietersen providing support.

Shukla believes the 19-year-old needs to be more selective with his shots; trying hitting more solidly; work on footwork – having immense potential he should take it more seriously in order to become an elite cricketer.

Tristan Stubbs

Tristan Stubbs was born 14 August 2000 in South Africa and is a right-handed batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler who first represented South Africa in 2024.

Since then he has represented Delhi Capitals, Warriors, Mumbai Indians, Jaffna Kings and Manchester Originals on domestic cricket grounds.

Many believe Stubbs could become one of the Proteas’ marquee players in future seasons. He made his first-class debut for Eastern Province during the 2019-20 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup as well as his List A debut that same season.

Grey High School cricket team captain in the 2018 Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Week tournament and EP U19 captain won Best Batsman award from that tournament.

Through Sever’s Disease (an issue which affects growth plates in heels), he managed to break away from limitations placed upon him by it and become an aggressive top-order batsman.

Sameer Rizvi

Sameer Rizvi was born December 6, 2003 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. As both a right-handed batsman and right arm off break bowler, Sameer has represented India U19 B, India U19, Uttar Pradesh domestic cricket teams as well as Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Due to his striking similarity in playing style with former Uttar Pradesh and India star Suresh Raina’s game – many refer to Sameer as being like him!

Rizvi became an internet sensation after hitting two centuries, including one off 47 balls, for Kanpur Superstars in the 2023 UP T20 League. His aggressive spin bowling caught the attention of IPL selectors and was purchased by Delhi for Rs 95 lakh during their auction of 2025 – since then making an impactful contribution to their team and tournament overall.

Ashutosh Sharma

Ashutosh Sharma is an aggressive batsman who excels under pressure situations. His adaptability and success in different formats make him a valued asset to any team, drawing inspiration from Naman Ojha and Suryakumar Yadav who serve as his role models due to their technique and adaptability.

Ben Stokes burst onto the national scene with an electrifying performance at Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, smashing 50 off 11 balls to break Yuvraj Singh’s record of 49 off 11.

His talent was recognized and Punjab Kings signed him up as part of their 2024 IPL season roster at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs.

He once again shone for DC during an exciting run chase against Lucknow Super Giants, pulling DC out of defeat with an unbeaten 66 off 31 balls to be their saviour and prove why he was such a high-priced acquisition at IPL auction – this time for Rs 3.8 crore!

Darshan Nalkande

Darshan Nalkande has quickly established himself as a reliable domestic performer for Vidarbha and has garnered considerable acclaim for his sharp pace.

Making his List A debut in 2016-17 Cooch Behar Trophy before making first-class and T20 debuts respectively at Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournaments during 2018-19 and 2019-20 respectively, his consistent performances earned recognition within cricket circles.

Vidarbha have relied heavily on Nalkande to be part of their squad in the Ranji Trophy tournament, where he has taken four wickets in five matches and earned selection to India U-19 team for Asia Cup competition as well as being considered for 2024 World Cup squad; unfortunately he didn’t make it as final cut was missed out by an over-eager selection committee.

Due to his abilities – particularly as a skiddy bowler who can bat down the order – Delhi have managed to acquire him at his base price at 2025 auction auction.

Vipraj Nigam

Nigam’s story is one of determination, resilience and sacrifice. Hailing from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh during the COVID pandemic, he made over 30 trips using shared autos and rickshaws – braving both scorching summer heat and bone-chilling winter fog to train for his cricket dreams.

His breakthrough came during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25, when he claimed an array of wickets while also showing great batting ability.

His performance in the UP T20 League 2024 earned him his debut across all formats for Uttar Pradesh and earned him a place on Delhi Capitals’ squad for IPL 2025.
