ODI
One Day Internationals (ODIs) are limited-overs games played between international teams with one game lasting seven hours each, typically lasting between 18-20 overs each.
These ODI matches represent the pinnacle of limited-overs cricket and serve as the main competition at every four year World Cup tournaments hosted by International Cricket Council. Since 1974, this format was introduced and it remains under their auspices today.
At least two fielders must be placed outside the thirty-yard circle during the first ten overs of an innings; this allows attacking fields to be utilized during powerplay. Fielding restrictions are lifted during the final 10 overs; all three types of fields referred to on modern scorecards as P1, P2 and P3 may be utilized freely.
ODI matches are scored using the International Cricket Council scoring system; its maximum single innings score is five points and match total is 100. Over 35 years’ of use has made ODI cricket popular across 60 nations worldwide.

T20I
Twenty-over international cricket, also known as T20Is, is an exciting form of the game designed for quick action and thrilling excitement. While longer matches can last days, T20Is usually take place within an evening with each team batting for up to 20 innings before switching over for the bowlers’ over.
This gives ample opportunities for hitting big fours and sixes while forcing bowlers to work quickly as wicket takers in T20I games are quickly decided between scoring runs and taking wickets, creating an exhilarating balance that’s both thrilling for both players as fans alike!
T20Is are played between national cricket teams, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) keeps tabs on how each one performs using an points system that rewards wins and losses with points; then creates ranking lists to show which teams are currently the best in the world – reaching the top of these ICC rankings is an enormous honor for any national cricket team!
T20Is provide an ideal introduction to cricket for newcomers, as they’re much quicker and simpler to watch than longer matches.
Furthermore, T20I matches often take place in less crowded stadiums compared to traditional cricket grounds; thus making tickets and travel less costly; T20Is make an ideal way for people looking to experience cricket on a budget!
