Bangladesh have won three of the four Twenty20 International matches played against New Zealand so far, drawing two. Their opening T20I match featured a low scoring draw; subsequent victories came by significant margins – led by Shakib Al Hasan with an overall average over 30 in T20Is.
Bangladesh made an impressive start to their 2018 Asian Cup competition, claiming victories over Sri Lanka and Afghanistan before defeating Pakistan to reach the Super Four stage and advance to the final. Unfortunately, India proved too strong in this particular Asian Cup final – continuing their winless run at Asian Cup finals.
Bangladesh was eliminated from the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup after drawing all three ODI matches against India and being defeated in Round 16 by Ireland, but still managed a win against Ireland. They played two T20Is against West Indies where they won one but lost another one before playing three one-day internationals against Pakistan which all ended in defeat.
Once they were through with Pakistan, Bangladesh traveled to Sri Lanka for three ODIs and one Test match; all three ODIs were won by Pakistan while the Test ended up as a high-scoring draw. Later that year they visited New Zealand for three ODIs and three T20I series with three wins each by Kiwis while Bangladesh emerged victorious in two T20I series wins!
