CSK vs PBKS

CSK suffered their sixth defeat in seven games and failed to make the playoffs after they fell by four wickets to PBKS at MA Chidambaram Stadium. Sam Curran’s 88 off 47 balls helped them establish a respectable total before Yuzvendra Chahal turned things around with an inspired 19th over hat-trick that bowled them out for only 190.

Shreyas Iyer led his side easily as they reached their target in 19.2 overs from being 177/5 in just over 40 overs, thanks to an amazing innings from uncapped batsman Priyansh Arya who notched an unstoppable 77 off 49 balls to put PBKS back in control of proceedings.

Khaleel Ahmed took two wickets on Thursday to move into fourth spot on the leading wicket-takers’ list, with Noor Ahmad and Arshdeep Singh also moving up.

Priyansh Arya and Iyer both made it into the Top 10, with Arya finishing in eighth position after 15 wickets while Josh Hazlewood from RCB held onto his lead with 18 scalps while GT’s Prasidh Krishna and DC Mitchell Starc trail closely behind with six points between first through fifth placed teams going into final day’s games.
