Day 1

Abhimanyu Easwaran has propelled India B to an impressive total, unbeaten on 157 from 286 balls with nine boundaries hit in his innings and assisted by Jagadeesan who is unbeaten on 67 off 126 balls, adding an impressive 207 runs for India B’s fifth wicket partnership.

The pair will look to add more runs before stumps. The wicket is damp but not overly so, and the ball appears to be gripping well; both batsmen seem comfortable on it.

Riyan Parag is in action once more and bowls a full toss that Ricky Bhui drives hard for four down the ground. Riyan then adds two more boundaries before tea is taken, taking India C to 349/7 at midway point of their second innings.

India B openers N Jagadeesan and Abhimanyu Easwaran shared an impressive opening stand of 75 to lay down an excellent foundation for their team’s progress moving forward.

Shams Mulani strikes again to dismiss Yash Dubey for 37! With one sharp bite on the pitch, Shams tempts Padikkal into playing an expansive drive which knocks off his leg stump! A fantastic wicket by Mulani!

Musheer Khan secures the final wicket of the day when he traps Rajat Patidar leg before wicket, although Patidar didn’t agree with this decision and suggested to umpire that it wasn’t edge or glove but simply an unfortunate delivery by Musheer. Umpire then had a brief discussion with third umpire before dismissing Patidar.

Tilak Varma and Shashwat Singh have made strong starts to India A’s innings with some boundaries already being scored at the top of their order. They hope to build an influential partnership at the crease and appear well-suited to doing just that.

Day 2

N Jagadeesan and Abhimanyu Easwaran both made half-centuries as India B surged back against India C to take control on day two of their Duleep Trophy clash at Rural Development Trust Stadium ‘B’ in Anantapur. India C captain Ruturaj Gaikwad made 62 before being bowled by pacer Mukesh Kumar; left-arm spinner Manav Suthar struck his fourth first-class half century; Mayank Agarwal and Pratham Singh added another 115 runs before being out.

WICKET!

Musheer Khan bowls a googly to Usman Khawaja who smashes it for six. This came after an ineffective start from both teams in Anantapur. Anantapur now leads by 222 runs heading into day three in Anantapur.

Drinks Break

Rain has temporarily disrupted play but should resume later today. With an unsettled wicket having a green top and stop-start nature of play making life tough for batsmen, India B have found it hard to build momentum, trailing by 240 runs at lunch.

Day 3

Ishan Kishan made his first-class comeback with an exceptional century, helping India C to take control in their second innings against India B in the Duleep Trophy match at Anantapur’s RDT Stadium B-ground in Anantapur in the Duleep Trophy match. Kishan scored his 111 off 125 balls (14×4, 2×6) to help recover from an initial wobbly total of 97-2 to finish on day three with an acceptable total of 357 at stumps on day three.

Rishabh Pant was unable to add to his overnight score but seemed determined not to let Scott Boland stop him reaching 300 runs. Ultimately though, Boland instigated an edge which Nathan Lyon managed to take at flying slip.

Anshul Kamboj struck early after lunch as India B were reduced to 157-4 when Rahul Chahar was castled off him by Anshul Kamboj who also rattled Navdeep Saini’s stumps before having Mukesh Kumar caught by Sai Sudharsan at short leg to finish with figures of 3-34.

India C’s tail quickly unraveled as they lost Rajat Patidar and Sai Sudharsan quickly, dropping to 197-5 after just eight hours of playing. Unfortunately for hosts India C, only managed to add 82 runs before they were bowled out for 322.

Tilak Varma and Riyan Parag will resume their partnership, looking to play risk-free cricket and build India A’s innings as quickly as possible before it may have to be called off due to poor light conditions. They could bat for at least the rest of the day before calling it quits due to bad light conditions.

Tilak strikes his first four off Saurabh’s bowling, scoring his first four before being caught by Saransh Jain at point. Riyan Parag also makes an early start, cutting to the boundary off Saurabh and scoring four runs off one delivery from him before being caught off point by Saransh Jain. These batsmen must remain cautious against fast bowlers as nightfall draws near – their partnership had produced 122 runs in just 12 overs! It is testament to India A’s efforts!

Day 4

Abhimanyu Easwaran has been on top form for India B in their second-round Duleep Trophy match against Australia at Anantapur’s Rural Development Trust Stadium, as they fight back to close the 286 run gap by tea. He scored 121 off 207 balls so far before tea. India B currently trail by 286, but Easwaran hopes that can increase that total further before stumps.

Siraj began the third session with a flourish, taking two wickets quickly to stop India B’s recovery efforts. First he sent Sam Konstas packing for an outright duck off his first ball before taking Nitish Kumar Reddy by surprise at gully to secure the wicket of the innings.

Navdeep Saini also failed to add to his overnight score after being castled for just one by Rahul Chahar for just one run. Vyshak Vijaykumar (12) and Sandeep Warrier (11) tried constructing partnerships of 28 and 36 respectively with Chahar but the leg-spinner eventually dismissed both batsmen as well.

Tilak Varma and Shashwat Rawat have taken control of India A’s innings with both batsmen attacking aggressively on both ends. India A have passed 100 runs with India A nearing their 450 mark as they look poised for victory.

Musheer Khan struck in the opening over of the fourth session to send Pratham Singh back into the pavilion for his 122-ball hundred, off Saini. Singh played a lofted drive against Saini that hit Saransh Jain at first slip and caused an edged catch at slip from Saransh Jain.

Usman Khawaja had earlier been denied his 24th First-Class century by Jasprit Bumrah’s dropping of an easy catch at leg gully, before hitting sixes and fours off his next two deliveries to help reestablish momentum for Australia. Siraj eventually caught Khawaja again before dismissing him for 111 off 183 balls; Pat Cummins and Scott Boland claimed three wickets each, giving the visitors five scalps overall on Day Two to secure an edge of 105 over India in their chase of 369 runs ahead in their chase for 369 runs.
