MI vs RCB

Mumbai Indians is a professional cricket team based out of Mumbai, India that competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL), an annual Twenty20 tournament run by BCCI.

Established in 2003 and owned by Mukesh Ambani, Hardik Pandya serves as captain with Mahela Jayawardene serving as head coach, Kieron Pollard being his batting coach and Lasith Malinga his bowling coach; South African batsman JP Duminy serves as player-coach.

Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore began their longstanding rivalry at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai with the opening match. Both teams have seen each other several times during IPL finals with CSK taking home most victories while they have also met up numerous times throughout league play and two previous finals where MI came up short against CSK both times.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are the defending champions of IPL 2023 and are the only team ever to have won every edition of this competition. In 2010, they defeated Delhi Daredevils in the final to claim their inaugural crown; then in 2011 and 2012 they again triumphed, beating KKR in each case before defeating SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to earn three championship victories overall.

They had an underwhelming start to the season, losing three out of their first five matches, but have managed to rebound by winning their last two matches.

Their primary issue has been in Powerplay batting which struggled during its initial six overs; but this issue has been overcome through important contributions from middle order batsmen.

This game was an intense contest right to its conclusion. RCB were struggling at 65/5 in the 16th over, with Nadine de Klerk and Grace Harris looking like key figures in taking their side home to victory.

Both players were dismissed quickly though, leaving RCB at 69/6 in need of 18 from one final over to win it all.

Royal Challengers made an amazing comeback against Sri Lanka with some great batting and fantastic fielding to reach home safely with seven balls remaining – an astonishing comeback that could only have come about through teamwork and mutual aid from all involved.

This match was an epic battle between two of the strongest sides in Indian cricket. Fans found it thoroughly entertaining and will long remember this titanic clash for its excitement and entertainment value.

Mumbai Indians had made a slow start to the season, yet still were in contention for a playoff berth. To do so, they needed to defeat Rajasthan Royals by an overwhelming margin, so as to leapfrog them and secure the fourth playoff spot.

Their opening stand featured 54 runs between Pon-dulkar duo but eventually conceded ground due to some impressive bowling from Rajasthan Royals; due to this resultant tie match ending up in fifth place with 12 points they went on to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad and eventually wining final match-up and thus secured playoff berth and secured their fourth playoff position berth spot!
