The First Meeting
Sri Lanka Cricket (known as Sri Lanka Lions / Tamil: Ilankka Krikatanama ) represents Sri Lanka on men’s international cricket and holds full membership status with International Cricket Council for Test, One-Day International (ODI), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Based out of Colombo, they are administered by Sri Lanka Cricket.
Over the years, Sri Lanka’s cricket team has produced some of the greatest players ever seen on a field: Mahela Jayawardene was an exceptional batsman while Muttiah Muralitharan became one of the greatest bowlers ever. Other noteworthy members are Kumar Sangakkara, Dimuth Karunaratne and Lasith Malinga among others.
Sri Lanka began their innings strongly, with openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis building an excellent 67-run partnership off 66 balls. Unfortunately for Sri Lanka, however, India’s bowling attack led by Jasprit Bumrah (3/48) and Mohammed Siraj (2/56) kept chipping away at wickets; Wanindu Hasaranga managed an unbeaten 62 off 48 balls but ultimately fell short by 38 runs.

The Fourth Meeting
Sri Lanka’s national cricket team boasts an illustrious past.
