heir next home league match of the season against Gujarat Titans takes place Tuesday while they travel away against PBKS before concluding their season in their last league fixture against LSG on Friday.

Phil Salt and Virat Kohli put on an unbeaten partnership of 89 off 65 balls which looked set to propel RCB towards reaching the top two, but once their pair fell, wickets started falling fast; ultimately leading to their crushing defeat at Ekana Ground.

This defeat for RCB outside Chinnaswamy Stadium marks their worst performance of the season; yet they remain optimistic of turning things around when taking on a surging Sun Risers Hyderabad side at home on Tuesday.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), is an Indian Premier League team based out of Bengaluru in Karnataka owned and managed by Aditya Birla Group and led by coach Ravi Shastri. Since 2011, this side has reached four finals, winning one while losing three times; also finishing runners-up in 2011 CLT20 tournament and second in 2016 IPL season respectively. Home games take place at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.

SRH

Royal Challengers Bengaluru-SRH rivalry has become one of the fiercest in Indian Premier League history. Both teams share similar competitive spirit and attacking cricket tactics; battles between these sides often become high-pressure and nail-biting affairs, further heightening interest in this rivalry. Things only intensified further when RCB lost to SRH in the final of IPL 2016.

SRH currently leads their head-to-head series against RCB with 6 wins and 3 losses, while RCB have four victories against five defeats – both are in contention for top-2 finish, however if SRH loses to KKR on Saturday they could slip down to third.

At their last encounter in Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (RGI Stadium), Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 25 runs at home ground RGI Stadium (Hyderabad). The batsmen of SRH proved too powerful against RCB bowlers as they scored 287/3 – an IPL record against them!

The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was filled with fireworks as both teams scored big runs.

Ishan Kishan was the star performer for Sunrisers as he hit an unbeaten 94 not out, while Phil Salt and Jitesh Sharma also contributed immensely to their side’s cause.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar stands out for SRH in this rivalry as their premier bowler with 18 wickets taken across five matches against RCB, while Yuzvendra Chahal of RCB has taken 17 and Mohammad Nabi of SRH has made an impressionful effort too.

Hasaranga Wanindu of SRH has also performed admirably – taking 7 wickets across his five matches against them!

KKR

KKR-RCB at Ekana Stadium in Bengaluru was an exciting matchup, with both sides looking to improve their playoff prospects. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt got off to an ideal start during the powerplay but wickets soon fell.

Abhishek Sharma batted brilliantly to help bring them close, scoring 17 balls off 22 deliveries to move them closer towards victory but it all unravelled once Varun Aaron got their wicket leaving them needing 42 off 22 deliveries to win and eventually KKR edged ahead with four balls spare to move into third in standings; while RCB lost ground on net run rate; making the race to finish top two even tighter now than ever! MI

Mumbai Indians kept their top-four hopes alive in their first match back at Wankhede Stadium since 2024 with a nine-wicket victory against five-time champion Chennai Super Kings, thanks to Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav’s half centuries which helped MI chase down 177 runs with 26 balls remaining. Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket for CSK.

After Chris Gayle and Devdutt Padikkal fell early, things looked dismal for RCB; however, Dinesh Karthik and Faf du Plessis kept them in contention by contributing an impressive 109-run stand for the fourth wicket to keep RCB competitive and ensure they reached playoff contention – though ultimately they fell by 25 runs.
